Globeville is a neighborhood north of Denver, Colorado and is home to roughly 14,000 residents. This historically industrial neighborhood has faced a multitude of social and environmental issues throughout its history that still impact its residents today. Once a social and tight-knit community, construction of the major I-70 / I-25 interchange broke Globeville into four disconnected areas with few points of access between. Not only is this neighborhood isolated within its own boundaries, but it is also detached from the city of Denver as a whole by a tangled network of rail lines, interstate ramps, and the South Platte River to Globeville's south, west, and east.
Globeville: Reconnected aims to revive Globeville's historic social nature by improving circulation within the community, as well as with the city of Denver as a whole, all while improving the ecology of this urban environment.
1.  Establishment of new networks
Globeville: Reconnected proposes two overlapping networks that work in conjunction to improve Globeville's physical connectivity and ecological productivity. A robust bike network will improve access between Globeville's residential neighborhoods and will make downtown Denver more easily accessible by tying into the existing South Platte River Trail. Simultaneously, various ecological interventions will be made along the bike network to increase tree canopy coverage in Glovebille and support local animal and insect populations.

3.  Globeville: Reconnected Park Design
The centerpiece of this project is a 45-acre park on a post-industrial site providing various forms of active and passive recreation for Globeville's residents. The park's design features three distinct ecological zones: montane forest, shrubland, and grassland. These zones are modeled on the ecology of Colorado's Front Range region and feature native plants from each landscape. Recreational lawns are located at the center of the park with proximity to bike paths and street connections for ease of access for Globeville residents. Trails branch out from the park's main pathway throughout the various ecological zones to provide users with active recreation opportunities and access to nature.
